Writing Assessment Section

The GRE contains a mandatory assessment on writing. You will write two short essays in the writing section. For example, in the "issues" task, you will be shown two "prompts", or statements each making a general, broad point. You will have 45 minutes to compose a response expressing your opinion about one of the two prompts.
